loud buzzing sound and computer freezes

So I just upgraded to the Gigabyte 1070 from my r9 390 literally today, all seems okay but as i was gaming i got a loud buzzing noise in my headphones and everything froze. The game returned about 30 seconds later but it was scary. I dont think it was overheating bc i ran hw monitor in the background while playing and it only got up to like 63 degrees C. Any ideas? It happened twice.
