I have windows installed on an SSD and I have a hard drive used just for steam games storage. Steam itself is installed on the SSD so it’s only games and nothing else on the hard drive. The annoying thing is that it seems to spin up at random times even when stream is closed which is load and annoying; especially when watching Netflix. Anyone know why it does this and if there’s anyway to stop it?
Thanks

Possibly disable indexing / searches on said drive. If it holds Steam games, the steam client might be periodically checking the drive is still there, so then you're into the realms of disable Steam client at system boot. Security programs might also periodically access the drive, but I wouldn't advocate white-listing anything from Steam (any more than I would white-list anything from Microsoft 😀 ).
