My computer has always made loud noises, I always thought it might be the case. I thoguht it might be the cpu fan rattling it or something. But the other day I was trying to move my pc to a friends house for some gaming and I accidentally dropped it. It didnt drop far but it landed on the side the hardware is mounted on. When I turned it on it booted fine so I didnt think there was serious damage, but the noise from the cpu fan has gotten louder! I tried to ignore it and keep playing when suddenly it crashed to a blue screen. Im not sure of what the problem could possibly be, either the motherboard shorting out, cpu over heating, or the fan shaking the hardware so much it malfunctions... PLEASE HALP!

Hi again, DrRedonkulous!

Now that re-read your OP, it can be any component, really, so it's not necessarily the hard drive itself.
Either way, taking it to geek squad is a great idea because something might have gotten misplaced, there might be a loose connection, the CPU fan itself or some other part of the computer.
However, I hope the damage is not that severe!

Best of luck! :)

Hey there, DrRedonkulous!

This is a very unfortunate issue! 🙁 I strongly recommend backing up all the data from that hard drive as soon as possible!
The noise indicates that there is a physical damage on it. However, the drop may have harmed other components as well, so my suggestion would be to go to a professional PC repair/service shop and let the tech guys there figure out how much of a damage we are dealing with here.
If you cannot boot from your computer, I'd advise to take the HDD out and plug it on another computer to see if you can at least get your data back.
Is there any error message on the blue screen, though?

Keep me posted!

Theres nothing on there super important, games can be reinstalled... I shall take it to geek squad and let them handle it asap. As for the blue screen, the pc rebooted before I could see what it sound... :c
