Low 290X Core Frequency?

Hi,

I just purchased and installed a msi 290x, and didn't see great results on my system.

When checking with AMD Overdrive it reports the 290x's core frequency is 326.2 mhz, which if I'm reading online specs and reports correctly seems very low (it looks to me like it should be up to 900mhz).

Does this seem low to anyone who is in the know or has a r290x? If it is low does anyone know why this would be?

try put some load on it like gpuz render test see se if the frequency increasing,my 7950 run at 300mhz without load

You're right, it went up to 1000mhz while under stress. IS there anyway to see if my card is performing how it should be as it really seems like its not making much difference from my old 7850.
