Low 850 EVO Performance

I've done a bit of digging after running Samsung's benchmark and noticing a stark difference in my random read/write results compared to those of others (right around HALF the scores of many benchmarks I've seen). I decided to check its accuracy by another means, AS Benchmark. It runs just fine, but there is one curious detail:

Benchmark 1
wlpDxfC

Notice the red text under the AHCI status.

For sake of comparison, here's the Magician benchmark:

Benchmark 2
vgK9nMY

I haven't seen a post concerning the particular error I've encountered.

Not sure if it is relevant, but I've got a GA-990FX-UD3 (Rev 4.0) motherboard which has SATA 3 ports. I've read some posts indicating it may be the MOBO limiting the performance. I'm in the weeds here, really.

First, what does the red text mean mean?

Second, could it be contributing to the apparent woeful performance of the SSD?

Third, please help with the woeful performance of the SSD. I feel as though it can do more. Potential yet untapped! What a waste, eh?

Regards,

Jeremy

Any advice or direction is most appreciated!

I cant see images at work but if its in the top left corner the it usually means your ssd does not have the partitions aligned properly
You can grab MiniTools Partition Wizard Free to realign it or if you are familiar with GRUB then you can use that also.

Thank you for your answer!

I'm sorry about the images. You nailed the issue with the benchmark anomaly. After running MiniTools as suggested, I observed a 25% increase in random read/write. Do you have any further tips to further improve my SSD performance?

Its not your fault about the images, thats all on our works firewall... LOL

Grats on the performance gain!
AMD boards are a little slower then the Intel benchmarks you usually see so if you are near what you expect then you are running fine.

Once you make sure you have the AMD drivers installed you should be fairly close to posted benchmarks.

Aside from OS tweaks all you can do is remember to give your SSD time to itself so that trim and garbage collection can do there jobs. Just let it sit idle for half an hour once every few months.
