Looking for a somewhat low budget gaming computer that has a GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB graphics card and at least a Intel - Core i5-8400 2.8GHz 6-Core Processor, or something around the same quality.

My Budget is ~$1200 Canadian. I am in Vancouver, BC.

Solution
So your budget is 1200 CAD without factoring in the 980 Ti? If so, you can go QUITE a long way with your setup.

Here's what I'd recommend:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel - Core i5-8600K 3.6GHz 6-Core Processor ($309.99 @ Amazon Canada)
CPU Cooler: CRYORIG - H7 49.0 CFM CPU Cooler ($44.99 @ Amazon Canada)
Motherboard: ASRock - Z370 Pro4 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($124.99 @ Amazon Canada)
Memory: Team - Vulcan 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($179.99 @ Newegg Canada)
Storage: ADATA - Ultimate SU650 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($69.99 @ Newegg Canada Marketplace)
Storage: Seagate - Barracuda 2TB...

I'm looking for parts to build it myself. I don't 100% need a 980 Ti, but I would prefer it because I already have one and it's one less thing to buy. I'm playing PUBG, Rust, Far Cry 5 at the moment. I also have a monitor so I don't have to worry about that.

You also have the option of going with the 8700, thus getting more threads, but losing out on overclocking/higher frequencies
