Ever since I built my computer I've been using a USB Wifi Adapter:

It honestly worked perfect for about 3 months until recently, I think it's dying from all the overheating since I'm constantly using it. So to get a more long lasting one, I'm looking into PCI-E adapters. Obviously there's a lot to choose from, so I'm looking for a little help in searching for one that fits a price budget of around 20-30 dollars and provides similar performance to the usb adapter above.
