Hi everyone,

I've got a

MB: Asus Prime B450M-A II (based on B450 Chipset )
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600
GPU: R5230-SL-1GD3-L

So I don't plan to play on this machine, but I need an GPU because it's not embedded in my CPU :/

But the GPU that I use is crazy hot !! I can't even touch the passive cooler (radiator) I'm wondering why this is happening ?
The UEFI is default, so no O.C....

So I would like to found a cheap GPU (with active cooling, fan) that consume the less as possible, and heat the less as possible too.
Does my system support PCIe 3 ? is not that clear in:
3rd/2nd/1st Gen AMD Ryzen™ Processors
1 x PCIe 3.0 x16 (x16 mode)
2nd and 1st Gen AMD Ryzen™ with Radeon™ Vega Graphics Processors
1 x PCIe 3.0 x16 (x8 mode)
AMD Athlon™ with Radeon™ Vega Graphics Processors
1 x PCIe 3.0 x16 (x4 mode)
AMD B450 chipset
2 x PCIe 2.0 x1

If you aren’t gaming, I’d guess that your motherboard would support a bios update and for not much more you could get a 5600g that would be a good cpu upgrade as well as most likely graphics and not even need a dedicated gpu. So that’s my suggestion. Or spend a bit more on the 5700g. Either way if you decide to game you can add a better gpu later.
