Some games only use around 40%-50% CPU and GPU while playing. I thought it might be because of my CPU cuz I only have a ryzen 5 2600 and use it with a rtx 3070 (I'm gonna upgrade my cpu) but it really doesn't matter on what settings the game is for example gta V. It only uses around 40%-50% and lowering/highering the setting doesn't increase/decrease the usage. Anything I can do to change that besides my cpu ?
cpu:ryzen 5 2600
gpu:rtx 3070
motherboard:msi b450 gaming max plus
ram:16GB

Regarding current spec, what frequency is your RAM? Ryzen CPUs, especially the older gen ones, need at least 3200 RAM because their infinity fabric is tied to and dependent on RAM speed.

And yes, I would say you likely have a bottleneck, especially if your RAM is low frequency or not set to XMP to enable it's rated speed. The 3070 is likely having to wait for the CPU to send rendering data to it.

Regarding the replacement CPU, what model are you considering?

That said, it totally depends what games you're playing and what FPS you're getting. There are some games my 8700k breezes through and only needs run at 50% or less usage to do it's job. So you need to be more specific.

What's your FPS? Check if you have V-Sync turned on.

Also, at what resolution are you playing? GTA V is an 8 year old game and it's not very demanding for modern hardware, so you shouldn't expect a 100% hardware usage anyways. If V-Sync is off then try increasing the resolution setting and see if the usage goes up.

I already play in 4k and I have v sync turned off, it never gets over 60 fps tho it only stays at like 58 - 59 for some reason.
