Low CPU and RAM usage while gaming

i7 4800mq
AMD Radeon 8790M 2GB DDR5
Intel HD 4600
8GB ram

I know this laptop aint much but its still not supposed to lag while playing saints row 3 on low settings or even call of duty 2!!

cpu usage doesnt go above 10% and ram doesnt go above 23%

I reinstalled windows 7 with all the drivers yet no difference. Can anyone help?

I'm thinking that could be temp problems. Could you report back with the temps? These software will give you them: https://www.techpowerup.com/realtemp/ https://www.hwinfo.com Also, check that your using the dedicated GPU and not integrated.

no temp issues...although im in a hot ass country but I keep the laptop's temperature as low as possible

although i just noticed something weird....although the dedicated card is identified on the device manager, as well as its updated....its not showing up on dxdiag

although i just noticed something weird....although the dedicated card is identified on the device manager, as well as its updated....its not showing up on dxdiag

Thats normal that when you are using browser or stuff that doesn't need a dedicated GPU the integrated one will be used since it draws less power. If you are not sure if your dedicated GPU is used when playing, simply open a game and hit ctrl alt delete go to second tab and check if your GPU is used there ;P

try out this game :- far cry 3 or metro last light its a gpu and cpu intensive title . see if the usage is still the same in these ones or different ?

CPU 23% usage and no more...still pretty laggy
