Hello, my laptops SSD is running out of storage space.
In Windows Explorer, the line under the drive name is red. Is there a way to remove that line? It's just pretty annoying, that's all.

- Windows 10 Pro
- Patriot Blaze 60GB SSD

You're expecting me to delete the applications I need? The clean install of Windows 10 takes up most of the storage. I don't even use the laptop much anyway because I have the desktop I built (typing on it actually).

Anyway, that's all I wanted to know. Thanks.

ssd are standard size. if you can get the 256 evo of 90.00 now. if you dont want to spend money the nhave someone set the ssd as a cache drive and not as the os drive it be slightly slower speeds. with ssd the vendor should have a garbage clean up tool both intel and samsung give these tools out for free. if not sdd if hdtune has it. do not defrag an ssd.

A 60GB SSD is pretty small, so there's not a whole lot you'll be ale to keep on it at a time.

Here's a few simple tips.

- Uninstall unwanted software/programs.
- Perform a 'Disk Cleanup' to help free up some clutter.
- Move pictures/movies/music or any other large file to another HDD if you have one.

I'm not an idiot guys - I've been building PC's for years.
All I wanted to know is if you could remove the bar under the drive name. Clearly not... I didn't want a lecture about "how to move your data to another drive".

To be fair you could have worded your question a little better, I think we all misunderstood your question.

The reason for the 'tutorial', this is the place for that. mention you are experienced next time, I assume everyone asking questions here to be very basic users.

I know of no fix for your red bar problem. Maybe a larger SSD?

Unless you're illiterate, the question was worded perfectly. Did I ask for info on how to see what was on my SSD and remove it? No. You branched off from what my question was by saying what you did.

Maybe read it again.
No actually, not many people on here assume that others are basic users. If someone has a decent rig in their signature I'll assume that they built it themselves. With that information I assume that they're experienced when it comes to PC's.

I know, haha. Thanks for the info!
