Hi Everyone,
I've been having problems with my internet for the past month or so.
My internet is extremely slow and I can barely watch Youtube videos, load images or websites, however, I have no problem with the internet when playing video games, my ping is actually very low (about 30) and I never lag, even though the download speed is super slow.
Currently, my Download speed moves between 200-500 kb/s, it used to be around 20 mb/s which I always considered alot because I live quite far from the city and It's always been more than enough for me.
Upload speed has not dropped and is constantly above 10 mb/s.
Whats interesting that only my PC is affected by this, for example, my phone or gaming console both have a very high download speed, other PCs in my house are not affected by this neither.
Downloading larger files is pretty much impossible, when downloading through the browser my speed was about 50-100 kb/s, however it was slightly faster with BitTorrent. Steam was also slightly faster ( about 400 kb/s ).
I should also note that I use Huawei PT500 powerline adapter, which boosted my download speed alot when I got it about a year ago.
I tried everything I know, that includes cleaning my PC and making sure there are no viruses or anything of that sort, I also tried reseting the router and plugging the cable to a different LAN port, that actually helped and my download speed went to 20 mb/s however this lasted only about 5-10 minutes. When looking at other forums I haven't seen anyone having the same issue. I also tried to re-pair my Powerline adapter . Simply nothing helped.
I should also note that the download speed doesn't increase at any time of the day, so it definitely isn't caused by the traffic.
