Hi, I am looking to buy 2TB NVME drive, so I can install it in External case and plug it in USB-C port at laptop.
I would use it occasionally as a boot and backup device.
Price is important, so I am choosing between low end drives:
  1. Kingston NV1 NVMe
  2. Intel 660p

Which one is better choice?

I have a 2 TB 660P, running as a data drive.

Just over 3 years old.

No issues; no problems; no heatsink, no heat issues.

Just an anecdote; take it for what it is worth.

Prices vary on it. I paid 220; it got down to 170 not long after that. Prices now for it may not be cheaper than it's 670P replacement....I haven't kept up.

WD has some decent mid range models too. Don't know anything about the Kingstons.

Yes I was thinking of Win10. I didn't yet purchased external case, so I cant try now,
I was planing to boot from USB-C from BIOS.
Laptop already has system installed, but I want to use it as a second user, so I would boot from another drive. Because I dont want to change existing system on laptop.
