Hi guys,

I have a system with i3-9100F and the R9 390X just died.

I use this system only for basic tasks on 4K monitor, such as OS navigation, web, running videos at 4K, not gaming at all.

Does 2GB of VRAM is fine for running videos on 3840x2160? there won't be any stuttering?

Asking since i've never had a GPU with VRAM lesser then 6GB... RX 550 2GB or GT 1030 seems like good alternatives.

GT 1030 is good for basic uses, though I'm not sure if the SDDR4 version and the GDDR5 one will perform differently in this case.
Should always go for the GDDR5 version anyway, it's literally the same price.

But yes the Gt1030 will do, has hdmi 2.0 so doss 4k 60htz and native hevc decoding so high bitrate 4k video playback is not an issue at all.
