Hi there,
I borrowed my mom one of my 4Gb sticks of HyperX Fury 1866Mhz and i only have one now so i decided to put on my pc the 2Gb that she had before. It is a KVR1333D3S8N9/2G.When i went to the bios to check if the memory is recognised ,i saw that the memory was running at 1866Mhz which it should have been running to 1333Mhz because of the slower frequency. It also bumped up my read and writes since it's dual channel instead of my single 4Gb stick. Is it ok to run at these speeds?

If in the spd tab it says the same for each module are you just lucky .😀

Maybe a fault when packaging/handling modules in the factory. And maybe they just needed more 1333mhz modules when not having them and thought let's use these higher speed modules, who knows really? maybe they just aren't binned vey well.

well i dont how well it overclocks since it did it in his own but here is what cpu-z says

Also i tried with a GA-H81M-DS2 with a i3-4160 and i believe it said 1333Mhz.

hmmm, that's weird. They seem to be running at the same frequency but at the SPD tab it shows two different frequencies

Well my fault .. sorry, the spd tab shows at which speeds it should be able to work, the memory tab what it really does.Still weird (or funny) that they run faster, but if it works be glad and enjoy.

You could always do some tests to see whether they work well on that speed like prime95@blend or memtest86+.
