low end with case custom cooling vs Mid-range case stock cooling

I was thinking about this earlier and I just wanted to get some opinions on people more knowledgeable than me. I was thinking a low end case, very cheap, with the difference spent on fans. although I would be worried about aesthetics and cable management.
