Running stock I get an overall score of 7724 Scores

Sorry, forgot to look at your signature. Was that there before? ;-)

Is the FX-8350 OC'ed? The card OC'ed?
For what it's worth, my FX-8350 (stock) and R9-290X (stock) was 8151: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/2721613
Since the GTX 780 is slightly lower performance than the R9-290X, that may not be all that bad... if everything is at stock.

Seems about right, then. Maybe run HWinfo while running Firestrike and see what the CPU usage is compared to the GPU's D3D usage.
