Hello, am still debating weather or not to buy water cooling for my system. Would having 2.5k RPM fans on a 8FPI rad be an OK idea? Also would it improve the temps by a lot? And since noise isn't an issue am not bothered.

Thanks in advance.

that setup is fine, here is kind of works with high FPI rads and high RPM fans at 4000+ the rad will produce results giving drops on water temps low FPI rads it will stop producing any real drops in water temps at around the 2500RPM fan speed so even if you put a 4000+ rpm fan to it, it would not do much good.

Low Fpi rads are designed for slower speed fans, my Xspc 8fpi RX240 is happiest at around 800Rpm, theres no benefit coolingwise at higher speeds with them, only increased noise
high Fpi rads need faster fans with higher static pressure to push air through the forest of fins, but low Fpi rads don't,
