Hello, so I spent alot of money on a new rig hoping to finally achieve smooth and stable FPS, I bought a GTX1080Ti gaming x (overclocked it a little) and a CPU i9 7900x , over-clocked to 4.1 using a preset in the MSI BIOS.

My frames in unoptimized games are never consistent and always dropping, (144---> 100---->120---->90) which causes unplayable screen tearing and overall ruins the experience. I'm not playing on ULTRA I'm playing on Low besides textures and view distance.

I know that some of you my suggest that the game is an unoptimized piece of trash, but even with that, I've come across benchmarked PUBG videos with the same specs as I that have almost a constant 144. Here is one of them.

I've Tried:
-Optimizing windows for gaming (Max Performance power plan etc)
-re-installing drivers with DDU
-Updating Bios
-updating Intel stuff
-Optimizations in control pannel, nothing seems to work.
-Disabling some processors from the Set Affinity Tab in the Task manager as I heard the 10 cores can cause trouble.

Notes: I notice that my GPU rarely goes above 60 degrees, whereas the guy in the video is using highs of 70-90

Sample of my stuttery gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8aUQiV3jBLY
NOTE: -This game is less heavy than PUBG
-I'm playing on lowest

Help would be very appreciated.

Performance is dependent on a variety of factors and not just which GPU and CPU. They may have a barebones PC with a great CPU and GPU, while you might be running...

Yes as stated above I removed and re-installed all drivers with DDU. I am also uploading a video soon to show more what I'm talking about.

Yes I'm playing on only 1080p, while others are playing on 1440p and getting more stable FPS than me, sample video almost uploaded.

you can also try un-overclocking the processor and gpu, it MAY work and what about optimized games? how do optimized games work?

Well I tried CSGO and CSGO ran really smooth, but my issue is with the unoptimized games, people with my specs get more fps and less stuttering, some with the same specs as me and lesser specs than me, this is the problem I want to fix

ok so from where you bought the cpu and gpu????That matters a lot

Performance is dependent on a variety of factors and not just which GPU and CPU. They may have a barebones PC with a great CPU and GPU, while you might be running multiple Drives and software in the background that have the potential to conflict with the game.

Do a clean reinstall of the game. Update all firmware, if there is, for all of your storage drives.
