Low Fps 4890 at all resolutions

I have been getting low FPS with my 4890 and I installed all my drivers correctly and uninstall my previous ones as well.

I game at 1920X1080 and only get under 30fps in games like Assassins creed, Far cry 2 and Left for dead. When i change the resolution to something much lower like 1024X768 I am getting the same FPS

Is it a CPU issue? I have a q6600 and 4 gigs of ram running on vista 64

If you are running stock then your q6600 will be holding back your 4890, yes. But probably not by that much.

are you implying he should be getting more or less; if less your nuts, if more, your on the marksince its based on an upgraded but old
source engine

lol yea thats what im thinking even with my 7950gt in i got higher frames. I just dont understand

jot down your system for us and maybe the important programs youve installed

I have a q6600 running at stock a 500 watt psu, 4 gigs of ram, 640gig hdd and the only apps i have installed that are relative to a video card is Ati tray tools

doesnt have to be relative to video card, its important to know what important programs are installed... ie you may or may not use to determine problems
