Question Low FPS after pc "upgrade"

I need help!!!
I have always played Warhammer 2 in my old desktop
(GTX 1050TI / i3-4340 3,6 Ghz / 4gb Ram / Win 10 64bit).
It was an old machine, But still i could play Warhammer 2 with very low settings and high unit size at 1920x1080 res with 30-40 fps in the battle benchmark (with drops to 20). Loading screens took forever. Still i was able to reasonably play campaign and battles.


Now i have a new desktop (the old one was stollen and i got a new one from a gift)
(GTX 1050TI / i5-4440 CPU 3.10GHz / RAM 8 GB / Win 10 64bit).
I know the performance upgrade in CPU was not that expressive, but NOW IM GETTING 20 FPS MAX FROM WARHAMMER 2 WITH SAME GAME GRAPHIC SETTINGS.

I have tried:
Reduce all settings (2d porthole, lower resolution, no shadows, off blood, dx 11).
Reinstall the game. Run as ADM.
DIsable GeForce exp and Steam Overlay.
Update nvidia drivers and Win.
Rollback Nvidia driver to 400s and 399.
Changes in nvidia control panel (3d Settings).
Checked HDMI is connected to GPU.
Changed core affinity in task manager (disable CPU 0 - gained few fps from this like 4 or 5).

In other games i'm seeing great improvement with the new desktop (Vermintide, BF1, Verdun) But games like warhammer and Mount and Blade are getting very low FPS.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

What version of Windows 10 are you working with? You specs are incomplete, please parse the make and model of your motherboard as well as the PSU. Include the age of the PSU as well. You should also be on the latest drivers sourced from Nvidia's support site, after using DDU to uninstall your GPU drivers.

That's because what you got here is so called side-grade. Your old CPU was essentially faster at any task that needs just 2 threads then new one. So for games that can utilize multiple threads you can get FPS increase, but for games that use only one or two threads your FPS has to be lower.

add to that the possibility that you have single channel 8 gb stick which would mess with the frames

Win 10 Pro 21H2 (19044.1949)
PSU Bluecase BLU 400R-80E (400W) - about 3-4 years they toldme.
MotherBoard Gigabyte H81M-S1

I did run DDU and installed the new driver (516.94) today, but to no effect. Thank you for the reply!

If you run out of things to try work on the proper bios and mobo drivers.

Then look into stopping unneeded background stuff.
