Low fps??? AMAZING RIG!!??

Guys, my roommate has the exact same graphics card as me and similar system, yet I am running at 20fps in giant battles and he is running at 40fps. I CAN'T understand it!

My Specs:

Motherboard: M5A97 le r2.0
CPU: amd fx-6300 (3.5ghz, 4.0ghz boost)
GPU: HD Radeon 6970 2gb
RAM: 8gb Corsair 1600mhz

I am not overclocked or anything. What the HELL???

I deleted temp files, made sure I have the latest BIOS, updated all my drivers, checked CPU-Z to make sure everything was running correctly...

I run other games fine with this rig. I've looked all over about this and can't figure it out so I would really appreciate help!

IF it's CPU reliant then you will struggle with your weak CPU.

Oh god sorry, it's Planetside 2. And yes, it is CPU reliant.

The 6300 is really that weak?

It is, unless you overclock it, and that's exactly what I'd suggest you do.

You need to overclock and not have it on the highest settings.

My rig struggles on max pulling 40-60 and that's i5 at 4.6 and an overclocked gtx 670.

Whats your friends cpu? also how much cpu is being used when in game? maxed out or?
