low fps dayz

im tired of getting horrible fps! i build my system about 5 months ago, my first computer build. had horrible performance this entire time. i think it might be my hard rive or motherboard or something.

GTX 770 2gb
FX-8350 4.1ghz
8gb RAM
500gb HDD
Corsair 600w psu
Gigabyte 970A-UD3

my fps in almost every demanding game i play is extremely unstable, and it will drop 20fps then go back up again. this ruins most games for me. fps in dayz and dayz standalone is around 22 fps in cities. also games like AC4 black flag give me huge fps spikes, which again makes the games unplayable. are there and kind of tests i can run on my computer? any help is appreciated.

What resolution and settings are you playing at? See FC3 is getting about 30fps on 1440p

Have you gone onto AC forums to see what other 770's are getting with the same?

i usually play all my games at 1280 x 720, i have checked the AC4 forums and some other people have had similar fps issues. i would probably be fine if my game was locked at say, 40 fps or something. but it spikes all the time

Your pc looks OK. I think it's something to do with the game
