I'm having an issue with low fps during gameplay, and general browsing / design work on my PC as of recent. I took a look at temps when the FPS dropped, and the temps would stay the same (43C on the CPU, and nothing over 50C on my GPU). Sometimes browsing through my files on Windows was lagging a little, and even doing basic photoshop editing. I was not experiencing this issue about a week ago. I checked CPU/GPU/RAM usage, and nothing seems high or going over 50%. Same issue is happening with my web browsers as well.
My specs are:
- i7 4790k
- GTX 1070
- 16GB DDR3 RAM
- 1TB and 120GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD
- 1TB Seagate HDD
On games such as LoL I was getting 144fps constantly (capped it), but now I'm getting about 102, with it occassionally going down to 50fps for a few seconds before going up to 100 again. The same happens on both max and low settings. I read about CPU bottlenecking previously but I don't think that is the case. I have updated my GPU drivers to the latest as of yesterday, but still having the issue so not sure if that is the cause.
