Hello guys,

EVGA 1080TI
I7 4770k
Playing @1440p
16GB Ram
LCPower 650w

Long lurker here who (un)fourtanly needs your help.

Recently I've upgraded my Haswell setup with a new 1080TI and a i7 4770k.
Sadly, it's delivering way bellow that it should.

On AC: Origins I get between 48-53 fps max. Even on low settings it's still the same.

Tried with Forza Horizon 4 I get between 58fps max.

Can you help me figure out what might be at fault?

Solution
Tbh I dont trust this PSU one bit either. I have it since 2014. What would you recommend? Maybe a Corsair CX-650w

No way would I run a high end GPU like a GTX 1080Ti off a Corsair CX PSU.

Better to get a higher quality unit than that.

I absolutely don't recommend ANY CX or CXM for any higher end GPU.

The last CXM that I saw on this forum took out a high end graphics card....

And yeah it was the new model too.

Do yourself and the system a favor and get a good PSU.
Install/run HWMonitor to see what clock speeds and temps are being shown when you:

Install CPU-Z, run the CPU stress test within benchmarks

Note temperatures/clock speeds being achieved....

Confirm your monitor is connected to GTX1080Ti, and not to an integrated output of mainboard.....? :) (It happens!)

Was there a GPU installed before the 1080Ti?

Did you change the motherboard? If so, did you reinstall windows and the drivers?

No, the mobo is still the same (Asus Maximus Hero VII)

Firmly snuggled to the GPU :)

Yes, I had a GTX 1070. I run DDU before adding the 1080Ti

Which one should I go with?
