Hey

I just bought a Lenovo Legion Y520 laptop with
- Intel Core i5-7300HQ CPU
- Nvidia GTX 1050, 2 GB
- 8 GB DDR4 RAM, 256 GB SSD

with DVR off and nvidia settings tweaked for optimal performance and lowest settings on cs go 1280x720 16:9 resolution. (Not the highest res)

My fps is around 120-150 fps only. I have a friend with i5 6300hq, 6gb, gtx950m and he runs with 200-250fps with full hd res.

I have deleted programs and im using nod32 for anti virus, put my laptop fans och gaming mode but my fps is still low.

How hot does your CPU get while gaming? Do you have a monitoring utility which tells you your CPU load and speed? If not grab speedfan, core temp or something you're familiar with, and CPU-z (for CPU speed). Play a game a d let us know what you see.

In the meantime, reset Nvidia settings to default and see what changes you notice. Also did you recently update you gpu drivers, if yes did you clean install or just update? If you did t clean install check online for specific instructions on how to properly remove them and reinstall the latest. I sounded go for the beta drivers quite yet, if you do, just to isolate the problem.

Thank you for the reply.

I downloaded the programs and played and ran cs go deathmatch for a little while before tabbing down to check temp/cpu load.

Heres the results:

I will try tomorrow, im gonna google how to properly delete all files and do a clean install. Where do I find drivers that arent beta ones? And after the install not changing any settings besides vertical sync off before tweaking it more.
