Question Low FPS i7 8700k RTX 2080ti?

I have a build that is running lower FPS than similar builds I've seen online. I'm getting an average of 56FPS on Shadow of the Tomb Raider Ultra Benckmark. Seen higher for 2080ti online. I've benchmarked more games and they are also lower than what's online.

CPU: i7 8700k
GPU: EVGA 2080ti XC Ultra
Memory: CORSAIR - Vengeance RGB PRO 32GB 3.2GHz PC4-25600 DDR4 (2 Sticks)
Hardrive: 1TB Samsung EVO 970 Plus
MOBO: ASRock Fatal1ty Z370 Gaming K6 LGA 1151
Monitor: Alienware 34 Ultra wide (120hz) (3440 x 1440)

I'm wondering if it's my mobo.

While a lot of game benchmarks are very GPU heavy it doesn't mean they don't use the CPU as well,you have to compare with benchmarks made with a 8700k and at the same clocks that you have.

You running Ray Tracing or not? That makes a HUGE difference to FPS. You'll also want to double check and see if other 2080 Ti benchmarks are ran with RTX on or off.

Sorry so late, but I have an update,

TechyInAZ, I had Ray Tracing off.

I went ahead and bought a new MOBO (Taichi Ultimate) and that was my issue. I was getting low FPS with all games on my old MOBO. The Taichi Ultimate almost doubled my FPS (I fell off my chair when I saw it). I now get 100FPS on Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Wither 3 I was averaging 70FPS Now I stay at around 125FPS, Gears 4 was at around 65FPS now 145FPS, and Shadow of War went from 80FPS to 140FPS.

I don't know what was the issue with my old MOBO, but I'm glad I upgraded.
