Low FPS in games I should run easily

So I bought a new computer two years ago. No problems, pumped as hell. But after maybe one and a half year of use, it is getting weaker.

I just bought Metro Last Light, and I cant run it without have 16-20 fps. This bothers me alot, cause this isnt the only game with this problem. (the list is too long) So what I am hoping for is someone that is good with pc's that can save me. Maybe use Teamviewer and skype or TS3.
Would like some help, cause the place I bought this gaming rig won't help me at all....

But either way, one of those cards isn't going to get very high FPS on Metro. (even at your slightly lower resolution).

With your motherboard, dual GPU's aren't well supported. SO, best option would be to lower your graphics settings in the game, or, upgrade your GPU (NOTE: you might need a new power supply too, list brand, model, and wattage to be sure)

Yea your computer is not fast enough to play the latest games on high/ultra. A new GPU would probably help, but you will need a new PSU also.

Depending on your budget, a GTX 770, 780 would provide a noticeable improvement. You will also need a minimum 600watt PSU of a good brand, I would recommend a seasonic 660W

Otherwise turn the games back down to medium-ish and you should be ok.

I suspect you have issues with your power supply.

That 'model' is over 5 years old, and does not appear to be of great quality. I would suggest downloading and running OCCT.

At the end of a 1-hour CPU run a folder will open with various charts. The charts will reveal power delivery to your CPU and video card and describe the 'ripple' that your system must deal with.

Running the individual GPU test is up to you If there are big issues with your power supply and volt delivery to your video card, it is likely your system will crash

Your motherboard is fine (or, should be). Your processor is okay, but the new Vishera Piledrivers are likely 15-20% more powerful than your FX-8120.

And, we need to figure out if you have an HD7850 or HD7870. I highly suspect you have an HD 7850 which, even with no PSU issues, is unlikely to zoom much past 25fps in Metro.

As noted, you likely need to turn down the eye candy to see a substantial improvement in frames.
