low fps in games

so I have dell inspiron3656,x-64based. 8gb, amd a8-8600p apu w/ radeon r6 graphics and I'm getting low fps in the games I'm playing, mainly cs go and I searched and saw plenty of fourms about this already but none of them helped. ive already disabled all kids of windows 10 privacy and services and xbox crap trying to gain fps but nothing is helping I'm getting like 30-50 fps while playing but when I die or if just open the game I'm getting 100-150 fps but once I start playing I drop off to about 40. this computer is also brand new, any help is appreciated as I'm not very good with computers, thanks.

also all drivers are up to date

That's normal. When you just launch the game or die the CPU (or APU in this case) is taxed less hence the rise in fps.

oh okay, but that's not my issue, my issue is getting 40-50 fps to begin with and its maxing out at like 50 while I'm playing which is making it hard to play

Try setting your performance mode to high performance under power options in control panel and lowering your graphic settings in game.

my in game video settings are all low, I tried the battery options but didn't seem to help. I just realized I'm actually only getting 30-40 fps while playing, with my specs and considering its a new computer I should be getting a lot more right?
