my pc is apparently a high end one and I want to use it for gaming. Even though its a high end pc i only get around 40 - 50 fps on games!

My Specs are:

Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) X4 760K Quad Core Processor
Manufacturer: AMD
Speed: 3.8 GHz
Number of Cores: 4
Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series
Manufacturer: ATI
Chipset: AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series
Dedicated Memory: 1.0 GB
Total Memory: 4.0 GB
Memory: 8.2 GB
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8 Professional Edition (build 9200), 64-bit
Service Pack: 0
Size: 64 Bit
Edition: Professional

Why am i getting low FPS 🙁?

I have r9 270x, I get 80-100 FPS in Battlefield 4 with AA ultra setting (1366*768)

So 7770 or 7750 both are entry level graphics card in terms of gaming.

So assuming you are getting 40-50 FPS on ultra setting with no AA.It is really good.

And as mention your rig is not even close to be called high end gaming rig, its more of entry level gaming rig.

you need a better gpu and more ram to get higher frame rates.... cpu is ok but not the best

for battlefeild 4 i suggest to set API from directx11 to mantle in game settings ... see if it gives you a smoother playback

First of all. Battlefield is a VERY demanding game even for high end card. Your PC has 4gb RAM which is very low for current games. Your 7700 series card is also low end and only entry level with only 1gb GDDR5 and 128-bit bus.

In general your PC is not made for playing such intensive games. Maybe if you lower your expectations (or options) you can play it. If you absolutelly need to play such games you need to either lower your game graphics values or upgrade your PC.

my bf4 settings are: Direct3D 1680x1050
Texture Quality: Medium
Texture Filtering: Medium
Lighting Quality: Medium
Effects Quality: Medium
Post Process Quality: Medium
Mesh Quality: Medium
Terrain quality: Medium
Terrain Decoration: Medium
AA Deferred: Off
AA Post: Medium
Ambien Occlusion: SSAO

You say: Dedicated Memory: 1.0 GB
Total Memory: 4.0 GB
Memory: 8.2 GB

Your RAM cannot be 8.2. Maybe the 8gb is the RAM and swap memory together which hardly can be counted as RAM.

Check your RAM modules and please report the RAM memory only. On the other hand your GPU is low end.

ill say it one last time ... your gpu is old and slow ...

for battlefield set API from directx11 to mantle in game settings ... see if it gives you a smoother playback

you cant do much.. you ll have to upgrade new cpu and gpu for better performance

7700 is mainly meant for 720p gaming on such intensive games for ultra or high settings.

Be satisfied with your current performance, anything above at 30FPS is good.

If you want ultra 60FPS at your resolution 7850,7870, R9 270/x, GTX 660/660Ti/760 would be your best bet.
