Low FPS on Battlefield one with GTX1080

I currently have a
Gigabyte GTX1080 windfore
i7 4790k
msi z97-g45 gaming MoBo
16GB ddr3 Corsair vengeance

i have Battlefield one set to the Ultra Preset with 100% res scaling in 1080p yet my FPS seems to range from 50-70 what could be causing this?

I'm guessing you're talking multiplayer maps here? To find out if the problem is with the graphics card or the cpu, what is the frame rate on a single player campaign? BF1 is a very cpu intense game in multiplayer, and while the 4970K is a powerful cpu, even it can get bogged down if you're running background programs.....especially if you're streaming or recording.

I just played through the first single player mission and got 80-100 frames but it was more towards the 80 side than the 100, the only background programs i had running were hwinfo and msi afterburner. that still seems low considering it has been benchmarked at 130-150 at 1080p in dx11
