Well title says it all

My specs are
OS: Windows 8.1 64 bit
RAM: ADATA 8 GB DDR3
CPU: AMD FX 8350 @4.0 GHZ
CPU COOLER: 212 EVO
GPU: EVGA GTX 970 STOCK.
PSU: 850W Corsair CX
MOBO: Gigabyte Ga-78lmt-s2

Whenever a big fight starts my fps drops down to the 20's, weird thing is when there are no fights its constant 60 fps.

Ive tried disabling Physx, deleting the .ini file, changing graphic settings but nothing seems to work.

If someone is kind enough to help me..

ALSO! I can run The Witcher 3 on ultra at constant 60fps same goes for alot of other demanding games...

Solution
The FX8350 is a relatively weak cpu. Even the i3 6100 would be an upgrade.

There are a dozen threads a day about performance issues with a FX. Usually, it's due to unrealistic expectations. People THINK they have a "high end pc" when most of the FX cpus are practically low end performers in games.

Now I've mentioned twice for you to check your clocks speeds during fps drops. Have you done that? Have you tried turning the settings down? Did it help?

Either way, if you can afford to get an i5 + motherboard, you'll most definitely have much better performance.
Yeah every other game performs as its supposed to.

Like i said The Witcher 3 is way more demanding and still i can run it 60 fps solid on ultra no dips, and that applies to most of the games that i play.

So, if you can help me it would be very much apreciated.

After doing a bit of research, it seems that Borderlands 2 just does not like AMD cpus. Try turning PhysX down to low.

Check your cpu clock speeds during dips. I'm surprised you're ever getting any reasonable performance on that motherboard.

So it is the MOBOs fault?, because my friend has the exact same build and never dips under 55fps

The only difference is that he has a more recent MOBO ASUS one to be exact.

And my GPU is at 50% load same as my CPU

So CTurbo, do you recommend me getting a more recent AMD3+ mobo? will that increase my performance overall?

And also thanks for taking your time to help me

No way. I wouldn't even consider buying another AM3+ motherboard at this point.

Are you and your friend playing on the same exact settings on the same exact monitor? If not, the comparisons are no good.

I'm thinking you just need to turn down the settings a little in that game.

Check your clock speeds while gaming. See what they do during dips. If your clock speed is not dropping, your motherboard is not the problem.

Alright now im playing on my laptop
This are the specs
Intel® Core™ i7 6700HQ Processor
8GB DDR4 2133 MHz RAM
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 950M with 2G GDDR5 VRAM

And it runs Borderlands 2 max settings @60 fps without a single drop..

And even if i turn down the settings on my desktop the fps still drops, so i dont know if its a AMD problem..

So what do you suggest me to do? Buy a new MOBO with intel? or just get a newer cheap AM3+

But i cant believe my desktop has better specs than my laptop and still my laptop runs the game better lol.

And comparing my laptop to my PC

The laptop cant run the witcher on high settings without dropping from 60fps or Dark Souls 3 on 60 fps..
And the desktop just tanks those games and runs steady 60 fps.

So i honestly dont know whats going on, is it BL2 or is it my Desktop

It didn't helped me 🙁
On my specs:
gtx 710
4gb ram and i3 @1.8ghz
its pretty cheap but i never had such problems.
I once tried to start a new game to check if its the same there too and sudenly FRAME DROPS AGAIN!
I runed Borderlands 2 with 50-60 fps all the time but when I succed further the game starts to lag.
