Hi all!

This are my specs

Galax RTX 2060
16gb RAM DDR4 @2400mhz
Intel I5-7600K
Corsair CX600
Gigabyte H110M-H-CF
Windows 10 Home 10.0.19045
GPU Driver Version 531.68

I have a freshly installed windows with only the necessary programs installed to run my games.

The problem Im having is mentioned in the title.
I mainly play Fortnite and Battlefield 1 with my kid the thing is I get a bellow 60fps on both of them.

BF1 recommended settings are:
  • Processor (Intel): Intel Core i7 4790 or equivalent.
  • Memory: 16GB RAM.
  • Graphics card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 1060 3GB.
My gpu far exceeds a 1060 and my CPU is at the same range as the only listed.

My temps are not high nor do I have FPS spikes, they are constantly below 60 (VSYNC is off), sometimes below 50.
Changing the ingame graphic settings have no meaningful influence as I only lose/gain around 15fps.

On userbenchmark most users with a 2060 + 7600k get above 100fps easily, so what am I missing here?
My benchmark results: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/60956149
Furmark 1080p preset result:

Seems my RAM is performing overwhelmingly bad, could it be the sole reason? Still boggles me that a bad ram would have such an impact on performace. What do you think?
My ssd isnt state of the art but seems to be ok given the circumstances.

Thank you! Hope i have given enough information, im glad to answer any questions that would help me understand wtf is going on.

Is your 16gb 2x8 or 1x16? Are you on the latest BIOS? The Corsair CX600m has a 3 year warranty, and may not be pushing enough power to your 2060.

BF1? My favorite all time game is BF2. I didn't know there are still servers out there.

Do you have the ram in the proper slots for dual channel?
See the manual.

This mobo only has 2 slots, I have 8gb on each. Inside BIOS theres no such option as enable XMP.

2x8gb.
Bios version is F20, date 11/16/2016, version 8A29AG0P.
My PSU is way older than 3 years, more like 5/6. I have a spare Thermaltake Smart 500w that I tried to see if it would have any impact on performance, nope it did not.
Since I read the 2060 needs at least 550w, I kept the Corsair one.

Bf1 was launched in 2016, its still pretty active.

Odd that ubm thinks you have 4 slots.
Update the bios and also the chipset driver.
Rerun ubm and see if it makes a diff.

Yup. That did it!
Oddly enough, ubm still shows 4 slots, but ram evaluation is not near as bad as it was!

Even better, my fps while playing Fortnite is top-notch!
Unfortunatelynow I dont get to blame my fps when being destroyed by 12yo.

Thanks dude, upgrading bios and chipset solved it for me.

BF1 was notoriously bad on 4 thread CPU’s. Although older the 4790 in the recommendation is a 4 core 8 thread cpu.

I tried running BF1 on a system with a 4670k overclocked to 4.3GHz and it was terrible. This cpu was also only 4 core 4 thread.

I don’t know about Fortnite but it could be the same.
