I've noticed the past week or so that I've been getting low frames in games such as GTA V, Rust and Verdun (only high end games I know that frames has dropped in) I used to get 60fps in Verdun, 60 in GTA V on mid - high settings and 40 on Rust but now I'm getting 15fps on Verdun, 25 on GTA V and 10 on Rust..

Specs:

i5 4460 - 3.2ghz

GTX 660 3gb

8gb DDR3 Ram

It was a few weeks ago when I was getting perfectly fine frames then the past few days I've tried playing these games and frames have been terrible, no idea why

E: Opened CS:GO and I'm getting 80fps max when I used to get 400+

Solution
I fixed the problem by turning on k boost in EVGA precision. Gpu was capped at 324mhz now its at 3000mhz. Hopefully nothing bad happens in the long run and this is a permenant solution

E: Yep it was the drivers had to roll back to the old ones and re update

Yep updated yesterday, problem was occuring before and after.

I installed malware bytes and scanning my files to see if any viruses are there so I'll update this when that finishes

E: Malwarebytes found nothing.. So its not a virus
