Low fps using "seus" shaders in minecraft, despite good computer

I recently purchased two gtx 980's for my desktop, and tried to benchmark them against various games. In skyrim, I recieved about 70-80 fps using graphic intensive mods that used to give me around 30-40. I also tested the heaven 4.0 benchmarking software and got a max of 98 fps on ultra settings. However, when testing minecraft using the Seus shaders, I recieved only 32-35 fps. I've seen videos where people have gotten over 70 using the same shaders. Even more, I tried a different shaderpack, Rudoplays, and got 166 fps at max. Someone please help me figure out how to fix this issue, as I am sure my computer is capable of much more performance.

Solution
Perhaps the script within that shaderpack is not suited for SLI configurations. Try the SEUS shaders wit only one card. See if there is any degredation in performance. If it stays the same, then you know for sure that SLI doesn't work for that shaderpack. It could also be that if you change your shaders whilst ingame (while playing/mining) it oculd not recognize the card and not use it. Try enabling SEUS from the minecraft start screen.

Solution
Nearly a year later, I tried this and discovered that I don't think there is sli support with minecraft. I'm confused because I see a lot of other people with sli and get this to work, so perhaps I am using an older version of the shaders.

Haha, it has been almost a year. Glad to have helped!

Omfg... Turns out it was an optimization issue!!!! I just completely reinstalled minecraft in 1.9, and installed the new shaders and now everything runs at 70+ fps. So yea, old forge, old minecraft, and old shaders seemed to be the issue.

ALSO I nearly got a heart attack trying to update my bios, which ended up working! SO overall, everything runs great and I'm happy :))
