So i recently just build my pc ( i5-7600k 1060 6gb 8gb ram) like 3 days ago and i downloaded pubg today and ran it, i have everything on low/verylow and 1920x1080 fullscreen. ive tried messing with nvdia settings and in game settings but nothing works i get around 50 fps when parachuting and 60 when on ground, my previous system had a 980 and i7-6700 and it ran at about 60fps on the same low/verylow settings. i have no clue what to do, all my drivers are up to date and my windows is on the latest version.

Any help is appreciated

Yeah that halves your memory bandwidth which will very likely effect your fps. You need to run 2 DIMMs to get best performance, If you can get a 2nd 8gb stick @ 3000Mhz you should see an improvement. 3000Mhz is fast enough, don't really need to upgrade that.
I think the GTX980 is slightly faster than the GTX1060 and same again for the processor, I think the i7-6700 slightly out-performs the i5-7600k. Your previous PC was simply a little faster/ more powerful for gaming.

From what I have heard PUBG is supposed to be horribly optimized as well.

Use HW Monitor/Afterburner etc to monitor you CPU, GPU usage and temps... maybe if running too hot something is throttling, although tbh not sure if that isn't simply the limit of that hardware.

You have the monitor hooked up to the graphics card, and not the motherboard, correct? It's a fairly common mistake. I do agree that your old build was a bit faster, than your current one. There is simply no reason the old system should have been getting that kind of FPS, on low. You should be seeing those kind of framerates on high to ultra.

Looking at those stats does look like both systems getting less than they should, although difference between them looks about right. Even a GTX 660 ti could handle 60FPS. Are you running single stick RAM in both machines? And what frequency? Low freq single stick could probably lower performance.

On very lowest settings though? Seems a little low even for pubg

1 stick corsair 8gb ram at 3000mhz

srry i didnt mention this but my old pc was a laptop it was a 980m with like 2or 3 gb so i dont thing it should be faster than a 1060 6gb

and what do u mean by hooked up to the gpu? i have my monitor hooked up to the back of my pc, srry this is my first build and i had a friend buuild it for me

yeah i was planning on upgrading my ram to 16gb later on when i get the money but i was pretty impatient so i ordered thne parts when i had enough money for 1 stick, anways thnx for the help

i was able to boost the fps tho by around 20 by following a youtube vid so now i get around 80fps but i will deifinitely be looking to get one more stick of 8 gn ram

thank u all for helping me, iv'e kinda figured it out, so i bought 1 stick of 8gb ram clocked at 3000mhz but i didnt know that i had to manually set it to 3000 in the bios, so after enabling XMP in the bios my fps was boosted by like 30-40, i didnt expect it to be this big of an fps boost from 2133mhz to 3000mhz but thank u all for ur suggestions
