Low fps with a GTX 1050 Ti. HELP!

Solution
Wow, your CPU is thermal throttling. The part hitting 99c is hidden under the cooler, the air around it will be cooler. It suggests the cooler is either not seated correctly or the cooling fan is not working. Can you see the CPU cooler fan spinning? If yes you need to check the cooler is fully locked down. If everything looks ok then contact the place you bought it from and explain the heat problem and performance issues. If we tell you to do more you may void your warranty.

What resolution are you using, and at what frame rate? Higher resolutions require more power from the GPU, which could slow down the frame rate. Also, check the game files for any corrupt files by going to battlenet, clicking overwatch, and selecting scan and repair from the options drop down menu.

He should be getting 60+ fps on ultra with his specs no problem, the power doesn't matter it can only pull 75w's max and that isnt going to effect his frames. I'm not sure what could be wrong tbh. something could be faulty. I'd never buy a prebuilt PC you never know what they truly put in there (old used parts etc)

When was power mentioned? I only said higher resolutions could cause frame slow downs. I have a 970 and I cant even max out most games in 1080p with a steady 60fps. I should add that I've never played overwatch before so I am not sure how my specified build would work on that game.

Yes i have it plugged into the gpu and how do i check if i have the latest driver?

Download Nvidia geforce experience if you don't have it and download the latest drivers, or if you have it which you most likely do Hit the Check updates button

The resolution i use is 1920 by 1080

I have done that and it says I have the latest driver installed.

Yes I have the latest drivers and have the hdmi plugged into my gpu

My cpu temp is around 99C and my gpu is around 32c
I don't know what you mean by usage

If your CPU temp is really 99c then don't even turn your computer on that is way to hot to keep running, how has your pc not just randomly turned off on you? xD I hope that isn't an accurate tempature... Otherwise whatever cpu cooler you are using is not working.

Well when i put my hand near the cpu it does not fell nearly as hot has 99c. But i think my gpu is really cool for when playing games and HWMonitor says that my integrated graphics card is doing 500MHz and it is not telling me any figure for the gtx 1050 other than the temp. Is this normal?
