Low FPS with DayZ

When I play DayZ I get really low frames although I do not know why because I usually get good FPS on other games I play but with DayZ I only hit 30 and below...
My system specs:
CPU: AMD FX(tm)-8150 Eight-Core Processor (3.6 GHz)
RAM: 8 Gb of DDR3 RAM
OS: Win 8
GPU: GeForce 660 ti

That is because dayz runs on a horribly optimized engine. The main reason behind this is that every zombie that spawns in is actively processed locally, by your CPU, instead of on a server. Same with cities. Everybody gets low frames with dayz, simply because of how badly optimized the engine is. This will likely be fixed in the dayz standalone.

Yes but usually my friend gets 60 fps to my 30 even though I have a better pc then him idk why that would be and would this mean to run the game better that I would have to get a better Processor?...

Yes but usually my friend gets 60 fps to my 30 even though I have a better pc then him idk why that would be and would this mean to run the game better that I would have to get a better Processor?...

What are your friend's PC specs? Like I said, the engine is garbage to high end hardware, and getting a better processor will likely not help. You just need to play with the graphics settings until you can get a good balance. My friend has a system with an OC'd i7 and SLI 680's, and the only time we can hit 60 constant is when we are running through a field. Any time something happens, like walking through a city, FPS drops to the 30-40 range with the graphics on medium.

Idk what his specs are all is I know is that he has a 560 ti and a terrible Cpu yet his game runs fine but even when I am running through a field I am still only getting 40 fps at most but when I go to a place like Cherno I get like 16 to 20 fps for some reason and I know that zombies are hosted by your cpu but I don't get it when I have a better cpu then my friend does yet he can run the game better... Anyways I am playing with the setting right now to see if I can get any better frames at all.

Im going really LOW FPS?
Anyone Got any tips or secret commands that would help increase the fps and fix this stupid mouse lag ?
I dont have the ARMA2 Pack...
I have the DayZ from Steam..

The game is in its infancy right now. It has little optimization, and I believe it is still classified as an alpha. Rocket even said the game would be poorly optimized on release. I would say in about six months or so it will run much better.
