Low fps with good pc

hi! I bought a prebuilt gaming pc recently and im not happy with my fps. specs: Intel Core i5-8400 (2,8 GHz)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (8 Gt GDDR5)
8 GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM
128 GB M.2 SSD & 1 TB SATA (7200 RPM)
6 x USB 3.0, 2 x USB 3.0 Type-C, 2 x USB 2.0, DVI, HDMI, 3 x Displayport
WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (2x2) & Bluetooth 4.0
Windows 10 Home 64 and 500W psu.
In fortnite i get 100-200 on LOW settings! my friends get more with much shittier pc than me. And in tilted towers it drops down to 50-60. in scgo my fps is 200-270. sometimes 150. Can someone plz help me! there must be something wrong! thx!

monitor plug into the gpu and not the motherboard output?
what the cpu/gpu temp and usage during the game?
what the ram and ssd/hdd usage?

2: consider upgrading to 16GB of memory. You have a very fast system with only 8 gb (which is considered the minimum to have nowadays)

its 1080p 144hz,ok, i will buy another 8gb in the near future
