Low fps with Gtx 1070

Hi fellow users, I wanted to ask for advice when it comes to low fps on my system.

Overall I think my system is pretty solid.

Running with -
Gtx 1070
Ryzen 1700 processor
Good motherboard
16 gigs ram 850w power supply.
Monitor 1440 p 27 inch
Everything seems to be running properly, ex. My load times are insanely fast for every game, in isolated areas (WoW for example)
games look gorgeous.

The problem is when the two mix. Highly populated areas seem to stress my machine out.

It dense areas I get 40-55fps. I feel like my machine should CRUSH something like that. I don't even have settings maxed!!!

Obviously drivers are up to date and I keep my rig in top shape.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

wow is poorly mutithreaded, mostly using 1 - 2 cores


should have gone intel for that specific game

Honestly that's what I figured, I don't want to say I have buyers remorse over the ryzen, but I think I should have gone with the i7 🙁. Even though the ryzen could potentially be better in the future, I feel like most games are optimized for few cores
