i have a ryzen 5 2600x with a rx570 4gb (all stock settings)
i am only getting about 100-150 fps in csgo (1024x728 full screen stretched and everything on the lowest/disabled, except for multicore rendering)
but when putting the settings on the highest (resolution the same) i get somewhere arround 50-100 fps
i see people getting much higher fps with a identical setup.

i was thinking of upgrading my ram, or my gpu because of these 2 cases:

i found out recently that ram speed matters when u have a ryzen? i dont have a lot of information about what my ram is, but all i know is that its a 2x4gb ddr4-2134 is. (dont have much experience in ram). i saw that the recommended ram speed should be 3000.

my gpu is also a year old + used (from amazon) its hitting 100% gpu usage pretty much all times when im playing csgo. so maybe its getting old and i should consider upgrading my gpu?

so basically what i want to know is, do i upgrade my ram or gpu? since i dont really know how much the ram speed actually matters. suggestions on what i should upgrade would be really appreciated as well! (budget is 200) sorry if this is the wrong section i should be posting in...

Ram speed matters a lot with Ryzen...for the 2nd gen 2600x the best memory is going to be 16 gig (2x8) of 3200mhz cas14 ram...which will likely see a 15-20% improvement over 2133 memory in most situations.

Upgrading the GPU to a newer faster model will always improve gaming results...but even with a GPU upgrade you'll still be leaving 15-20% of your performance unused with the 2x4gb 2133 memory you are running now.

From what you mention it sounds to me a graphics card upgrade would be most beneficial to you, because you can't turn up the graphical settings without losing performance. Though for the budget I'm not sure if the ones available at that price point would be considerable upgrades. (At least for new prices.)

Ryzen does benefit from faster RAM, though you may have to prioritise what you want to achieve with the budget you have in mind.
