Low framerate in previously easy to run games

Hi,
I've recently noticed an issue with low framerates in certain games that I have played previously with no issue. The main 2 games would be Payday 2 and Mafia II. I used to run both these games at 2880x1620p (Supersampling) at 60+FPS, however recently I have noticed these same games dipping into the low 40s, mid 30s. I've already monitored things such as temperatures and GPU usage with the only odd thing I have noticed being that my GPU seems to sometimes be at around 550MHz whilst gaming, though this seems to only happen occasionally when I open the game making me think I may have something configured wrong in overclocking.
My full setup:
i5 3470 4GHz boost
GTX 770 Twin Frozr OC 1228MHz
8GB Kingston HyperX RAM 1.65V 1600MHz
ASRock Z77 Extreme4
Corsair RM550

You've probably updated/changed video drivers since those days, perhaps something in the config changed when you updated? you've got some kind of throttling enabled somewhere, what third party app do you use to OC?

I use EVGA PrecisionX 16 via Steam. It was the driver containing DSR that caused this problem, as I decided to change from just supersampling to DSR and noticed the low framerates so changed back to SS.

why don't u try using GPU-Z to maximize your clock speed and GPU load, check your power plans or other softwares may using ur GPU to render st

Hmm i have 770 tf oc 2gb and i have to say that in bigger than 1440x900 res it is ''ugh'' so yeah pday 2 is with the graphics of cs-go(maybe a bit better) so if you lower the res. Also gtx 550w isn't a great idea for 770 with oc on it,so maybe try get a new psu then oc the gpu.

It's nothing to do with the resolution, it's more with software. Games like Metro 2033 and Far Cry 3 still run at the same framerate as always. It seems like Supersampling breaks my framerate even when back at 1080p. And the PSU is fine.

Worked out the issue with Mafia II, seems like Apex PhysX is poorly optimised. I had it on before but there aren't many people around at the start of the game so it ran OK, it was only once it became summer in chapter 7 that I noticed the huge drop thanks to all the people.
