Low frames in Minecraft and frame drops.

Hello guys, I just bought Minecraft however i am getting really low frams and crazy frame drops like 0-50 fps. I think the problem is that minecraft locks my MEM too low at 1024M and i am always at 100% on the mark but i have no idea how to change the max. I am using java 64 and windows 10 64.
Plz help

GPU:gtx 970
RAM: 8gb ddr3 1866
