Low frames with good card

Hello everyone,
I got my PC upgraded couple days ago and i now my specs are:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 2.5Ghz
Gigabyte HD7850 2GB
4GB RAM
600W PSU

The problem is that when i play BF3 the frames stay between 30-60 even on the lowest setting. I have low frames on other games too. I have the latest drivers for my system and i can't find out what the problem is. Can someone tell me what should i do to fix this think? I will be very gratefull.

I'd say the problem is your processor. 2.5Ghz is pretty low these days, even tho I know AMD better than Intel. Also you might want to add 4Gb more ram, because 4Gb will probably not be enough for BF3 multiplayer as the requirements are a lot higher for multiplayer. Well, atleast if you want to run games well in the future you probably want more ram but right now it isn't that necessary. Also make sure you have 64-bit instead of 32-bit since 32-bit can only run around 3,2-3,5Gb ram, anything above that isn't really helpful.

Also 30-60FPS should be fine but anything lower than that really starts to affect the gameplay.

Apart from the joke, my point is that's only a £130 card.... you cannot expect much better in fps...

Im thinking of overclocking the processor and to put 8 gigs of RAM instead of 4 (if i can put DDR3 on my motherboard at all). Do you think this can fix the low frame rate problem ?

you can try to OC, but q8xxx is known not to OC well, good luck anyways
