Hi guys, I bought a new Ram for my laptop weeks ago and I realized that the frequency is half of what I ordered (800instead of 1600) so I returned the product(Kingston ddr3l). Again I bought another brand today and same thing happened(samsung ddr3l) . Now I'm starting to think that is something wrong with BIOS setting or something like that? Cause I have 2*4gb Kingston running at 800mhz too.
Ps: I've broken the screen so it's not easy to go to bios menu and read the settings right now

Solution
DDR = Double Data Rate
So ram at 800 with double data rate is 1600.
Both ram kits were right for your system.
Most companies sell it at the DDR number not the buss speed. I mean higher is better in marketing terms.

Oh really?? I paid extra 30% for nothing !
This means my old rams were also 1600mhz.
Is there a way to make sure about the frequency?
