Low GPU Usage help

Hello! i have the gtx 970 but i dont seem to get the fps i'm suppose to get.. i play league of legends and i very inconsistent between 200-300.. i asked other gtx 970 owners and they reach 500.. and im only using 1600x900.. i have high settings on league and i only get 30%+ GPU usage.. how do i change it>>

No problem. What are your cpu and gpu temps when under load? Do you have the latest nvidia drivers installed?

both are 50-70.. yes i have the latest drivers.

try to run big titles like bf4 .. far cry 4 . gta 5 .. and see what fps you will get .. it doesnt seem to be big deal with league of legends with 300 fps

i know 300 fps is not necessary for league but, what bothers me is that my gpu is not performing on what its expected to be performing.

Have you put the battery/power to high performance and changed the power setting in the GPU control panel and look for the tab with (Prefer high performance)

Have you tired wiping the driver with driver sweeper? Then reinstalling the latest driver.

What over games have you tried the card out on? As for example when I play some games even with an uncapped frame rate the GPU won't go 100% due to the game not taking full advantage of the GPU and CPU as the game wasn't developer for such high end hardware. I have i5 4460 and MSI GTX 970 4GB (EVGA G2 550w Gold).

Try a bunch of games on max and report back. Use the program called afterburner to monitor your hardware while gaming, you can find quick starter videos of the monitoring program on youtube.

You will have to give us some details in newer games more heavier on the GPU.

Well the only games that actually task the my GPU hard for me is Far Cry 4 at 60-80% usage at very high settings 1080p 60fps and the Killing Floors 2 30-60% usage.

Try some games and list your outcome with each.
