Question Low GPU usage leading to terrible FPS

I’ve been having really bad FPS issues on games where my graphics card should perform well. I checked in the task manager and saw that I’ve had really poor GPU usage with the integrated graphics card (the intel one) pulling most of the weight. The intel one would be around 35% of GPU usage whereas the NVIDIA one is like 3-4%. For additional info, I’ve listed my PC specs and a user benchmark test below.
Manufacturer: Asus
Model: GL553VD
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050
Processor: Intel Core i7 7700HQ

Things I’ve done:
  • Deleted and reinstalled drivers
  • Changed settings in NVIDIA control panel
  • Changed settings in Windows (power options, PCI express)
  • Cleared dust from laptop
  • Tried undervolting my GPU (No idea if I did this properly)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading.
