Low LoL FPS

I just bought and installed a brand new GeForce GTX770 w/ 2gb ddr5 and the acx cooling system. I just played a practice game of League of Legends and am getting around 45 fps with anti-aliasing and vertical sync off...i was expecting higher than that. Any thoughts on if that is low? or normal? or what i can do to try and boost the fps? I have an i5-4670k processor with 16gb of RAM also

do you have the fps capped? LoL is not a demanding game so you should be doing 200+fps.

no, i have it set to uncapped. what could be the problem?
I literally installed the gpu today, so i have the newest drivers and i have stress tested my machine many times. The cpu runs up to 4ghz no problem and all 16gb of my RAM (overkill i know) is recognized and running at 1600mhz

yes! at least i believe it is, its recognized by the nvidia software as well as system info as the correct card

is it currently set as your display device, is your monitor plugged into the 770 or the mobo?

can also try playing with 1 of your RAM sticks installed and then switch them out and see if there is a difference. If a RAM stick is going bad it can cause weird game play issues.

its plugged into the 770...i would feel really stupid if that were the problem 😉

would taking one out...booting, then replacing and taking another out etc work to test them? or is there a software test i can use?

hmmm you could test the ram with memtest86

weird problem indeed, you should be getting much more FPS

yea, memtest86 is software you can use, but it doesn't catch everything and even if they test ok I would still tell you to test each stick independently.
