Low mic volume - Windows 7

Hello

I have bought a new Sennheiser PC 3 chat headphone with microphone. The headphone works well. However, the volume is very low when I record and listen. Previously, I used Logitech headphone with mic. The mic volume was good though the headphone was a cheaper one. Also, my webcam mic works fine. The wire connections are fine as well. It seems, many Windows 7 users face this issue. Could you please provide a solution. Thanks so much in advance.

If I remember correctly there is an option like boost gain or something like that when you right click your device under recording devices and go to properties.
