Hello community of tom's hardware,
I wan't to upgrade my PC to have better performance in Webbrowser-Performance & Office.
I also want to be able to play games with maximal details in FullHD(maybe WQHD).

-Case:Xigmatek Midgard from 2009: https://www.techpowerup.com/review/xigmatek-midgard/4.html
I measured the PC with the microphone of my phone from where I usually sit: in idle and with a little bit browsing on web: It's at 22db respectively 23db.
-SSD: M.2 SSD Samsung 980 EVO 500GB
-Intel© Core™ i5-6600 CPU @ 3.30GHz × 4
-MSI Nvidia GeForce GTX 970(28cm long x 12cm wide x5cm high)
-HyperX Fury DDR4 Ram (2x8GB) https://www.kingston.com/datasheets/HX424C15FBK2_16.pdf
-Gigabyte GA B250-HD3P Mainboard
-CPU Cooler by Thermalright Macho Rev. B (x14cm long x11cm wide x13cm high) with one fan and it's made out of aluminium, as far as I can tell.
-PSU: CoolerMaster Silent 500W
Overclocking is only an option if it's worth the additional money for the better mainboard.

I'm grateful for specific recommendations for hardware mentioned here or general advice on topic. Power efficiency is important to me as well.

Hardware I was thinking about:
GPU: RX 6800 or RTX 3060 Ti
CPU: Intel Core i5-10400F/11400 or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X/ 3 3300X
Mainboard:ASRock T790 Extreme (Intel) or MSI MPG X570 GamingEdge or GamingPlus? ( AMD)
Case: "be quiet! Dark Base Pro Rev.2"(although I'm absolutetly open to a different one as I've heard that it's noisier than you would assume)
https://www.amazon.com/quiet-Full-Tower-Computer-Window-BGW15/dp/B07DWDQFSX/

This is my 4k 50/60Hz monitor at the moment: https://www.caseking.de/eizo-flexsc...d=a0718abf715f11e10da2eb9cce883d03#tech_specs
I will use the PC 12 hours a day. I will play games 2 hrs per day.

Thank you in advance,
minthero

If you decided about migration to ITX format then mentioned Fractal Design Define Nano S for office tasks and non power hungry games is fine. However if you think about case for long term which might include more power hungry games, then better get something larger for better cooling. Eq. at least 2 front fans. Fractal Design Define 7 Compact or other case in at least that size.
Moving components into a smaller space is not going to really help with performance.

Regarding Priority #2. You will save money by keeping the existing case.

Roomier, cooler, space for expansion, easier to clean and maintain. etc..

Especially if you are planning future upgrades (CPU, GPU, etc.) that will help with performance.

However, you must refer to the motherboard's User Manual and Asrock's website for supported components and configurations.

FYI:

https://download.asrock.com/Manual/B560M-ITXac.pdf

[Be sure to verify that I found the applicable User Manual. If not, just apply a new search using the applicable criteria.]

Just my "general advice" on the topic.

There may be additional/other comments, concerns, or questions.
